Facebook page

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 17, 2012, 2:08 AM
Yeah, I'm one of those people who have never had or used any kind of facebook page. But apparently that's something people use for stuff these days so I decided to stop being so tardy with my internet-developement. x<

Which means I now made a facebook page for "a Redtail's Dream" where I shall post a little notification whenever a new page is up for those who prefer this venue over the RSS feed.

View the facebook page for "a Redtail's Dream"

If anyone has knowledge on what else a facebook page could be useful for I'll be thankful for tips, as my knowledge of FB is pretty much "people reconnect with estranged friends and play a lot of Farmville. The End".  o_o

Facebook is pretty much for reconnecting with long lost classmates and family, and then playing Farmville. But it's also a great way to keep in touch with the art community. I don't do RSS feeds so I always fall behind in reading comics.. but now that I'm Like-r #101 I'll be able to keep up better with yours :3

I use FB for my art business -- it's nice because it doesn't require people to sign up for an RSS feed/website/mailing list to follow your work. I use it because people are sometimes lazy and won't keep track of you unless it conveniently feeds into their everyday life . . . (Also ease of comment/like helps)

Not just FarmVille. I'm pretty hooked on Pet Society.

I've never been one for the FaceCult craze, but be careful if you're posting your artwork there. Might get nicked.

To my understanding, Facebook pages for comics generally list places and conventions the artist is going to, serve as a place for the artist to randomly post comments and questions for their readers, promote the artist's merchandise and other recommended webcomics and stuff, and draw in new readers through seeing your comic on their friends' profiles. I hope that helps! Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about something.
