I've been trying to rest my drawing hand a bit for a couple of weeks (always good to do that once in a while) and needed something to occupy myself with. Something I could do with my left hand. So, last weekend I did whast I've been meaning to do for ages: I translated one of my very first comics!
That's right! Now you all get to see what kind of awfulness I drew when I was 15. Sure, the pages don't exactly represent my best work or anything, as I clearly remember drawing them with a "no sketching, no thinking"-mindset. But still. Yikes!
The story was also one of those "If I start here, and don't plan anything ahead, where will I end up?" -kind of things, so this is apparently how the storyteller in me worked. Enjoy 18 pages of secret agents, aliens and idiots. Lots and lots of idiots. And crappy art, but don't enjoy that.
Yeaaa, so I pretty much had to update this journal because the last one is from back when I first started updating A Redtail's Dream six times a week, which is literally several hundred comic pages and almost a year ago.
A quick overview of where we're at right now: page 400 goes up tomorrow (woop!), I've drawn just over 500 pages already and only have about 50 left before this whole comic is done. Right after that I'll start the next comic project which will launch by the end of this year. So that's what's going on now! Oh right, I'll hopefully also be graduating next month. Those of you who follow the comic on the site probably know this already, but I figured I would give a quick overview to those of you who don't.
So that's that! You can read the comic over here on its own little site, I don't want to spam my Deviantart page with a new page every day.
You can also follow me on twitter to keep up with my general arting stuff and comicking news. Sometimes I even post sketches and stuff.
And finally there's the facebook page for the comic where I basically just post the page updates as a convenient feed. :3
Happy springtime everyone!
