Apart from the improvement in background quality (which I already gushed about on the previous page) this is also the point where I finally uttered my goodbyes to any scratchy textures and grey-ish areas drawn with the pen nib, and instead welcomed my friend The Paint Brush permanently into the mix. So no more chicken-scratch, intead there are large areas of solid black ink in the linearts. I've gone back and forth between the two inking styles up until these two pages, very often using both kinds of shading on a single page, but since this I've inked everything in this kind of black-blocks fashion. Which is good! I'm finally starting to feel like I'm closer to finding out what kind of comic style I want to have, and isn't that the whole point of doing a practice comic anyway? The answer is yes, yes it is. I still have a ton to figure out before I can start my "real" comic, and I really hope I manage to do so during the next year, but I have to say it is really nice to not feel like I'm not completely stuck in a corner with my development. o_o
Yeah, I'll have to figure out a new code for that page, as it didn't fit into the neat little container I place the regula-sized pages into. Man, I wish I was a coding-guru, I would have a solution in a second. ;_;
By the way, page 130-131 is not centered.
