Get it? 8D It's a splash spread, as in the comic term for this kind of full spread panel, but there's also an actual splash in the scene! BWAA-HAHAHHAHAAA! HAA-HAhahaha...haha...haaa? ...? ... ...Well, I thought it was really funny! Hrrmph! *walks off*
*walks back* So, I haven't done any full-page panels for like a hundred pages up 'til this one, if my memory isn't betraying me. There was a couple in the middle part of chapter one methinks, and another one in the prologue? Dunno why I haven't done more, there kind of pages are pretty fun to design. There will be a bit more of them in chapter four, I've already drawn two splash spreads between pages 140-200. I won't tell which pages exactly, but they're there, and they both turned out great! Let's be excited together!
On the other hand double pages are kind of difficult to produce. I have to tape two A3 papers together, and I'll freely admit that I have some serious trouble handling a drawing area that big. It's so... intimidating! So much space to fill! Sure, mister Paint Brush to the resque and ink is pretty cheap, but still. o_ò
But hey, bottom line: I enjoyed drawing these pages, I'm pleased with the end result, and I hope you guys enjoyed them as well. :3
...Hannu and Ville sure are not enjoying them.
Ooh, last thing! I added a fake page-crease thingie to this version of the page just for fun. The original on the main site obviously doesn't have one, I guess it makes sense to have a slightly different version here on DA.
