I know, i know, phoenixes don't have chicks, they die and are reborn themselves, but I really needed an adult phoenix in the picture too. :-P So in this version the old phoenix feeds its offspring its last energy and heat, and once the small one is strong enough to survive in its own, the old one wanishes in a thwirl of black smoke.

This is basically an acrylics-practice focusing on painting light that I did during the summer.

that's awesome. And not all phoenixes have to die and get reborn, i mean, some can be different. They are made up, after all.
