I know, i know, phoenixes don't have chicks, they die and are reborn themselves, but I really needed an adult phoenix in the picture too. :-P So in this version the old phoenix feeds its offspring its last energy and heat, and once the small one is strong enough to survive in its own, the old one wanishes in a thwirl of black smoke.
This is basically an acrylics-practice focusing on painting light that I did during the summer.

The Phoenix is by far my favorite creature. This is the most beautiful way I've seen it depicted. I love it! Wonderful piece of work you have made here
wonderful....i must say ....concept....is amazing....phoenix represents fire or flame and when it dies, a new flame is born, that which is almost brighter than the last....lovely....you got some freakin mad skills
